Heart disease symptom


When Pam Cheatham rescued a dog living in a junkyard about three years ago, she expected to get the dog spayed, fatten her up, then find her a good home. She hadn’t counted on the dog having heartworms.

Keep your house and pets free of heartworms 
This is the second article in a series. Heartworm disease is a preventable, but serious and potentially fatal parasitic disease that primarily affects dogs, but can also impact cats as well.

Don’t forget that pets can suffer from tick-borne disease, too 
Blame it on global warming (warmer winters), less snow, increased deer populations, or natural tick population cycles; Lyme disease caused by a Borrelia species and spread by feeding ticks, is on the rise and has been for several years.
